Coaching & Skill Development
Tailored guidance, practical skills, and the confidence to manage your digital work.
Whether you’re a business owner, part of a small marketing team, or running an agency, managing websites and campaigns can feel overwhelming. Coaching gives you the skills and confidence to take control — without the stress of figuring it all out alone.
Why Work With Me as a Coach?
Alongside consultancy and development, I coach people to build the skills they need to carry out research, design, build and manage websites.
It’s not all about learning software or languages (in fact very little of it is), often coaching is more about soft skills, critical thinking and learning about and documenting processes that lead to positive outcomes.
When you use your new skills on a project, I remain available as a sounding board to provide additional support.
Tailored to you
No generic slides or theory — just your projects and your challenges. Each coaching session is built around your goals, whether that’s improving your WordPress skills, refining your SEO strategy, or learning to manage your website more effectively.
Practical and hands-on
Learn by doing, with real examples from your site or campaigns. You’ll develop digital marketing and website management skills you can apply straight away, building confidence through real, measurable progress.
Calm, supportive guidance
I make complex topics manageable and clear. My one-to-one mentoring approach helps you understand web design, analytics, and optimisation at your own pace — without jargon or pressure.
Proven results
Clients gain skills, save time, and feel more confident making digital decisions. Many go on to handle their own WordPress maintenance, SEO, and campaign management independently — with far less stress and uncertainty.
How Coaching Works
1. Contact me to see if we are a good fit
Much like finding a therapist, it’s important that we are a good fit. My approach is direct and to the point, but not without empathy or compassion. Get in touch, let’s talk and see if we get on.
2. Agree how we will work together
I will suggest a way of working together that suits your goals, role, timeline and support needs. This could be very structured and frequent, or more informal and ad-hoc. Although structure is important, so is flexibility and I do my best to adapt to your situation as it develops.
3. Establish goals and timeline
Coaching is a journey so it benefits both of us to have an idea of where we want to get to. With a tangible goal in mind we can create a plan of what subjects to cover, what processes to explore and how to apportion time to that.
4. Commence our work together
By now we know what we want to work on, and when. We will have meetings together, mostly online and they will be recorded. A summary, transcript and agreed action points will be documented and made available to you.
5. Document our processes
All our notes, goals, meeting information and work we share with each other will be kept in a programme such as Notion. This is something we can both access and which you will continue to have access to after our coaching comes to an end.
6. Follow-up support
As you put your skills to work and gain confidence, I remain available for advice as and when you feel it would be beneficial. You wont be left on your own without support. So long as you have time available in your time bank you can use me as an on demand consultant to answer questions or to use me as a sounding board.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need technical knowledge before starting?
No — I’ll meet you where you are and explain everything in clear, simple terms. Whether you’re new to WordPress or just want to strengthen your digital skills, I’ll guide you step by step.
Can we focus on my real website or live campaigns during sessions?
Yes — and that’s what makes these sessions different. We’ll work directly on your website, analytics, or marketing campaigns, so everything you learn is relevant, practical, and immediately useful.
How is this different from consulting?
Consulting focuses on delivering solutions for you — I step in, diagnose the problem, and implement the fix or strategy on your behalf or with your team. Coaching and mentoring are collaborative: I guide you through the process, explaining how and why things work so you can build confidence and manage your website effectively with less requirement for external support in the future.
How much does coaching cost?
Coaching is billed at my standard consulting rate of £90ph, and you only pay for the time you use. There’s no minimum commitment — you can book a single session to solve a specific challenge or continue with regular mentoring for consistent support. Time is normally taken from a pre-paid time bank of hours to use as you need them.
What will I actually walk away with after a session?
You’ll leave each session with clear notes, action steps, and a better understanding of your own website or campaign. Most clients apply what they’ve learned immediately — from improving SEO or WordPress workflows to making more confident marketing decisions.
Are sessions one-off or ongoing?
Both options are available. You can book a single coaching session for a focused challenge or set up a regular mentoring arrangement for steady growth and accountability.
How long does a coaching session last?
Most one-to-one sessions last around 60 to 90 minutes — long enough to make real progress without feeling rushed. For ongoing mentoring, we’ll agree on a schedule that fits your workload and goals, whether that’s weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
Do you offer group coaching?
Yes. I can run sessions for small teams, tailored to their roles and responsibilities. It’s ideal for organisations who want to build internal confidence without adding new hires.
